is giving mhtcet useless for non maharastra students since other state students/non domicile don't get asmission in government college of maharastra
hi,
see there is many private colleges available which offers good education, infrastructure, placement for b.tech course. so from that point of view mhtcet exam cannot consider useless for non maharastrian candidates. every year there is several engineering entrance test conducts all over India, so a candidate may appear in more than one exam, however at the time of admission you have decide colleges as per your location, ease of access, hostel facilities, fees etc.
hope you may understand.
Not getting a government college doesn't means that mhtcet is useless exam.
All the other state students know that they will not get the government college, but every year many non maharashtra students fill this form. Because apart from goverment colleges, maharastra has some of the top private colleges which surpass the government colleges. For eg - COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING PUNE, is one of the best engineering colleges of India and this college takes only the rankers.
More over it is not necessary that other state students, only get into maharashtra college my mhtcet, so, they can also take admission in some of the goverment colleges of maharastra via JEE MAINS. For eg - VJTI mumbai.
So, giving mhtect is not useless for other state students, because you can get good state universities or Private colleges.
Hi.
Students from outside Maharashtra can apply for MHT CET for All India Seats Quota in Private Colleges only. They will not be allowed for admission in Govt. or Govt. aided colleges in Maharashtra.
If you feel this to be of no use to you, then it is recommended that you prepare for national level examinations and then take admission into course and college of your choice.
Best of Luck
