is government high school principal come under gazette officer?
- Government High School headmasters are considered as Gazetted officers falling under Class II of the list.
- Despite being a gazetted officer, the headmaster of a government high school possesses limited authority. They do not possess the same powers as a notary, such as attesting agreements and affidavits.
- Their authority is restricted to attesting documents as true copies of the original ones.
- These headmasters are categorized under Class II or Group B (Gazetted Category). The recruitment process for government school headmasters follows the government's guidelines, and their appointment is made by the government.
- This category includes headmasters of both State Government and Central Government schools. On the other hand, headmasters of private schools are not considered gazetted officers primarily because their appointment is not made by the government, and the recruitment rules do not align with government regulations.
