Is govt engg degree more valuable than a private degree
Hello,
Hope you are doing good!
Engineering is a science involving designing, building and usage of machines, engines and structures. Pursuing an engineering degree is a popular career option in India. With the economy opening up over the last two decades, the steady growth of industries in the last few years, as well as the addition of streams within engineering, students may have a variety of career choices.
Engineering is one of the most demanding career option in today's generation. Engineering has historically been one of the highest paying careers anyone can pursue.
Today, there are now six major branches of engineering some are mechanical, chemical, civil, electrical, management and geotechnical, and hundreds of different subcategories of engineering under each branch. Engineering ranks among one of the hardest degrees you can do. Engineers have the skills to turn products of the imagination into real-world innovation. As humanity's knowledge and needs increase, the demands on engineering grow. This means the future will be full of new opportunities for engineers. Inventing tools and technology for the betterment of humanity is a special task.
The degree requires you to have everything from logic and common sense to a tremendous amount of patience when things don't go your way. Engineering can be very difficult because you're essentially becoming a Professional problem solver. In many polls and surveys, engineering-related jobs still command some of the highest incomes of all.
The world has been rapidly evolving and this has been possible with the engagement of different engineering branches. As of now, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Engineering in Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering are the top five branches according to the number of students pursuing them. Choosing any one of them can help you shape a better future provided you are under the shade of a reputed college.
That all matters is the college ranking based on various parameters like faculty, alumni, placement records etc. So, that doesn't mean that the college must be government or private. But It all depends on university or institutes you can see the difference below:
Government:
- The students of government engineering colleges are able to score much better than private college students on an average and fare better in competitive exams.
- Teaching staff put in lot more effort in teaching and guiding the students compared to government colleges.
- In India, there are many IIT's namely - Apart from IIT's, there are many other government engineering colleges in India as well.
- They are known to provide good quality of education, professional scope, and placements to students who complete Btech from these institutes.
Private:
- The Placements are high in private engineering colleges. Multinational companies like Dell, Axis Bank, Accenture, Federal Bank, Infosys, L&T visit the campus of premiere engineering colleges.
- The students of the engineering colleges form their own placement committee and scout for placements.
- The college provides support in the form of exclusive placement officer.
All the best!
Hope it will help!
Thank you!
