Dear Student,

The educational eligibility criteria for UPSC Civil Services is:

  • The applying candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a reputed university.
  • Candidates having a professional and technical degree are also eligible for the exam.
  • Also, the candidates who are awaiting their final result of the graduation can also apply as per IAS 2021 eligibility criteria.

So, you need to have a graduation degree to appear for the exam.

Also, remember that the candidate  must be between 21 to 32 years of age and the maximum number of attempts of UPSC exam for a general category candidate is 6. If, you are any other category candidate then you will get some relaxation on age and number of attempts.
