Hello,
Yes. H.C. Verma is definitely a good book to refer for physics if you are going to appear for exams like JEE. Not only from the exam perspective but the book is also efficient in increasing your knowledge about various concepts of physics.
The best part about H. C. Verma is that unlike other books, it does not have the tough and tricky language. All the concepts are explained in a very easy technical language. The Maths portion that come in derivations and numericals is also well elaborated and hence, it is easy to gain knowledge by referring this book. The only demerit of this book is that the numericals are not adequate for practice. So, one needs to search for other books for more numericals to practice.
But overall saying, one can surely learn and understand all the concepts of physics thoroughly by referring H. C. Verma.
Best Wishes.
hi,
hc verma is one of the best books for physics 10+2 course preparation as well as jee main, however since jee main exam has mcq type question pattern you need to follow good mcq books to practice,
you may follow arihant publications books or tata mac graw books which is really good for jee main exam purpose.
This free eBook covers JEE Main important chapters & topics to study just 40% of the syllabus and score up to 100% marks in the examination.
Hello aspirant, Hc verma is good for physics conceptwise, but for numericals, it not much relevant to the questions asked in exam, you can refer NCERT books for knowing what model problems are given in exams, solving past years papers and mock tests can also help.
Thank you.
