Is HNB Gharwal University is good for pg mathematics or not?
Hi!
I think no body can answer better this than me as I am student here.Well I would be brutally honest with you and won't give any sort of fake claims. I am currently a student of HNBGU. This is going to be my last year in this Chauras Campus. And boy I'm so so happy that the course is about to end. Just one more year of the ordeal is all I have to face now.
Who all are saying that faculty is good are just fooling you. In my department which is a self financed one, the conditions are not good. Though there are some teachers that are well versed with their subjects, there are some who are simply pathetic. There is no time table that is followed. In a semester the max classes of a subject are around 20–25. Not more than that. And their are some subjects which are just taught for 10 days or even less. Some teachers are punctual but some are not. The lack of management is clearly visible.
Regarding the infrastructure, the building is good enough. But lacks in laboratory equipments. There is some serious shortage of chemicals, equipments and even Gas.The environment of the classes is poor. I mean really poor.
You are not going to develop your communication and social skills at all.Nobody speaks English here. My communication skills are actually on a downward spiral since joining HNBGU.Now let's talk about placements. Just one word, you should simply FORGET getting placed. There is no such thing as on campus placement for us.
I would say those guys who say “no University is good or bad”, are simply hypocrites. They are not giving you the clear picture. There is no ambience, no competition, no environment and ofcourse no placements.
Let's talk about co curricular activities. The management organises just one fest. The annual function. All the other fests are organised by political parties and groups. And the management not even finances them. There is no such thing called as educational or industrial trips. The university doesn't do that.
