Different colleges offering MBBS course have their different hostels.
Now that totally depends on you that if you want a hostel then you can stay in it, otherwise you can reside in some other flat or PGs etc.

If you want to stay in NEIGHRIMS Hostel there are decent hostels for students both boys and girls. With very low rent and all provided Facilities. They provide 24/7 of electricity and water and rooms are good.  The hostel fee including mess ranges from 2000-4000 per month.

No! There is no such rule stating that it is mandatory to stay in a hostel to get MBBS admission. This is a practically impossible decision to even take. There are around 1 lakh medical seats and accommodating every student in the hostel requires a lot of additional infrastructure. Moreover, it cannot be made a compulsory rule for students who live in the same city as the college.
