The institute works in a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model, by extending its collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the state government of Himachal Pradesh, Hindustan Petroleum Power Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Transmission Corporation Limited. As the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Una, Himachal Pradesh seeks help from all its partners, the institute has run smoothly since its establishment in 2014.
