I think you should go for Civil at IIT Madras. Even if you are interested in CSE, you will get a lot of options to pursue your interest at IITM. Being an Old IIT it provides you with a sea of opportunities. You can even study well in the first year and apply for a Branch Change to CSE or EE. Besides this IITM also has a provision for pursuing a Minor degree in some other Department besides majoring for your case in Civil Engineering. You should start developing new skills and mastering Technologies like ML, AI, Software and Data Science right from your First or perhaps Second year besides keeping up with Coursework in Civil and henceforth you can easily secure a Placement in a Top Software or Financial Technology Company like Microsoft, Nomura, Accenture Japan, Sony, P&G, Oracle, JPMC and so on.

Hello

Firstly you need to decide in which branch you are interested for and then go for college based on your options

Other wise you need yo decide a college and then go for any  branch offered

IIT Madras is really a good college which is a dream for many aspirants

If you are really interested in Civil Engineering you can go with iit

If you are interested in CSE go for Andhra University .It is the top most college in Andhra Pradesh.

But I  think no College can beat IIT's

So many of them take up any branch in IITs and finally go for Placements

Hope this helps you

Ultimately the decision is your's

All the best!

Hello aspirant,

Firstly CSE and civil engineering are two completely different branches of engineering. CSE deals with computer softwares, programming and other computer related things while civil engineering is about construction which is physical. So first of all decide which branch interests you. Whether you would like to code or construct. Well, both the institutes are good, IIT will definitely give you a better exposure and opportunities. Know what you are interested in and then the decision will become easy.
