Is IMS BHU is good for MBA?
Institute of Management Studies (erstwhile known as the Faculty of Management Studies), Banaras Hindu University offers MBA, MBA International Business, and MBA Agri Business programmes at the postgraduate level. Admission to the MBA and MBA IB programmes is made through the CAT followed by the GDPI process, and admission to the MBA Agri Business programme is made through the combined merit of written test (conducted by the University) followed by the Group Discussion and Interview.
The course curriculum for both MBA and MBA IB programmes has been specially designed after taking into consideration the needs of the corporate world. The learning takes place through interactive lectures, seminars, simulated games, group assignments, laboratory exercises, and business games with an emphasis on industry-sponsored live projects. The curriculum is regularly upgraded to cater to the dynamic business environment.
IMS BHU charges nominal fees for the management programme, and provides exceptional placement to its students. According to the placement report for the year 2024, the highest CTC offered to MBA and MBA IB programme students was Rs. 23.5 LPA. The average CTC of the placed graduates stood at Rs. 11.1 LPA while the median CTC stood at Rs. 10.3 LPA. A total of 63 companies visited the campus for placements from diversified backgrounds. Various profiles were offered to the MBA, MBA IB programme students.
On another hand, for MBA Agri Business prorgramme, the highest CTC offered was Rs. 16.33 LPA. The average CTC of the placed graduates stood at Rs. 8.81 LPA while the median CTC stood at Rs. 8.3 LPA. A total of 28 companies visited the campus for placements process. Therefore, MBA from IMS BHU can be considered as a good option among management students.
