Hello aspirant,

No, Information technology is not required to crack JEE mains as well as Advance, even it is not in the syllabus of the exam.

you only need to study physics, Chemistry and Mathematics thoroughly and if possible each and every topic of the syllabus, do as much practice you can and must solve previous year question papers as well as mock test.

you can check JEE syllabus from the link below:

for mains. https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-syllabus

for advance: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-syllabus

But if you want to do engineering of any branch you have to study one programming language as your subject in one of your semester in first year. And if you are willing to do Computer science engineering or information technology or any software relevant branch further it will help you but not mandatory to crack the exam.

Hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that Information technology or IT is a particular and professionalized course that is taught in Btech degree. That is not necessarily requires in JEE exam. The JEE exam only consists of questions that will come from 3 subjects namely - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Information Technology (IT) is the application of technology to solve organizational and business problems. This field of engineering uses computers, networks, storage, and other technical infrastructure both hardware and software, to deal with and manipulate information/data.

Information Technology (IT) professionals are adept with the latest emerging technologies, arriving at the most optimal (consuming least time and effort) solutions to any technical issues that may arise, small-scale or large.

Further, for more information about this course or about the Btech in IT degree in detail, you can check the below link :

I hope that this will help.

hello candidate,

Information technology (it) is a generally a subject in btech. It is a very popular branch in the the engineering field as the packages received after btech in it is quite decent. You have to give jee mains exams in order to get into a good govt or semi govt college where you can study the IT branch. You can give the jee mains exams after the 12th class in order do do btech in the it branch.

Thankyou!
