Hello Bhanu,
VIT is known for its B.tech courses. The students who pursue B.tech are the most sought after. They are still working on raising the bar for the other courses but it still hasn't managed to create that same place for itself in the heart of recruiters as the b.tech course has.
That brings me to placements. Placements are important and many software companies would not deem an MSSE student eligible for certain profiles that they offer to b.tech students.
The course curriculum is not at fault here because from what I know, the curriculum has been designed very well but placements are still an issue.
I would suggest don't choose this course. B.tech in any other institute if not VIT will be better.
Good luck!
