is integrated mtech software engineering course treated equally to btech cse or not?
Hello Student,
People usually choose a normal course instead of integrated courses. Because of this there are good chances of you getting into an integrated course. Also, the higher ranked people usually choose other universities such as NITs and IITs.
The software engineering course depends on how you want to pursue. It is a matter of interest whether you want to pursue that particular specialisation in computer science. This question of uncertainty exists because over a period of four years the interest may change and to accommodate for that possibility people tend to choose the btech course more than mtech software engineering course.
Another major factor involved in taking normal btech courses over integrated courses is the timeline. People either think they will not have the patience to last an extra year. And one more issue is that students would want to pursue their higher studies in a more reputed university, sometimes abroad. This is the reason and not because they are considered not good or anything.
