Hello, Let me clear you that government colleges are always better for Btech & other courses but private colleges are also not bad. But in Govt colleges IITs & NITs have excellent placements not normal govt. colleges have it. And in all Private colleges for sure there are placements but most of the positions in company get filled up after hiring from IITs & NITs & the competition gets tougher in private colleges.

Dear Student,

Sure , Apart from IITs and NITs .. GFTIs and state Govt colleges are very good for studying Engineering as well as for placement .

If you carefully notice, then you can see that after Entrance exams (specially state joint exam) candidate who scores higher marks in exam will get the chance of admission in Govt Engineering college .

Like example: Jadavpur University , In India .. This University is one of the prestigious Universities with cheapest cost  and the placement record is also very remarkable . You can check more about this University from here :

Apart from this college , some other well known cost-friendly universities for B.Tech are :

  • BHU, Varanasi
  • DTU, Delhi
  • University of Calcutta, Kolkata

Hope this helps !
