is it better placement and valuable
Both the departments almost share all the syllabus, where IT would have a taste of Electronics and CSE would be more safely sticking to hardware and softwares.
But in terms of placement, it really doesn't matter which department you take. Because, even a mechanical engineering student would end up in a IT job easily.
So, all that matters to most companies nowadays is, what skills do you possess regardless of your department.
What are your learnings, what you do better than the other one. These are the ones that's important on placement .
The Fundamental Differences Between Btech Computer Science & Btech Information Technology, Is that Computer Science Branch give emphasis to the development of software by using different programming tools, & It also gives importance to hardware aspect, Where as..Information Technology focuses on which software tool must be selected to complete a particular task & IT is mostly the application part of CS, Where as CS give emphasis on the Algorithmic part of computer sciences with the knowledge of hardware.
A Career in Computer Science :-
Most CS graduates go on to become software developers or Web programmers. Although, A computer science degree gives students a rigorous education in discrete mathematics and Computer Science Theory By which They have Theoretical as well as Practical Skills to Develop the Softwares.
A CS education prepares students to choose the correct Design patterns, algorithms and Data structures for programs, but most students graduate knowing only one or two programming languages, usually C++, Python or Java.
Computer science is focused entirely on efficiently programming computers using mathematical algorithms.,Which trained Btech Students To solve any Kind of problem related to the Development Of Softwares.
A Career in Information Technology :-
IT graduates can find work in a number of occupations, including Information security, network architecture, Database administration, systems administration and computer support.
IT professionals need to stay Beside of New technology, and They must be very familiar with how to use Operating systems and server software, including Linux, Apache, OpenSSL, Windows Server, Oracle, MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
IT professionals works as a Installing computer systems, using software and Maintaining networks and databases. IT more Focus is how to use existing technologies more efficiently and effectively.
So, Basically, For Industries IT and CS graduates are the same..But the Differences between the two are quite pronounced. IT professionals should enjoy installing computer systems, using software and maintaining networks and databases, while computer scientists should enjoy mathematics and software design.
All the best !
