Dear Aspirant,
It depends upon the college in which you want admission. Some colleges gives admission solely on the marks in 12th like Delhi University, while some just set a minimum required marks, and then separately conduct an entrance test for their college like IITs/NITs etc. There are some colleges like medical colleges which gives admission on the basis of NEET rank and to be eligible for NEET exam one only needs 50% marks in PCB.

Some college have entrance based admission process and some have merit. If you want to take admission in that college where merit is required there you need more than 90% marks to get a college.
So it depends. And do work hard try getting more and more marks.
