Dear Apurva

No, it is not compulsory for an IP person to accompany his/her ward during counselling but the candidate seeking the admission through IP quota should able to submit the 'Ward of Insured Person' certificate issued by competent/designated authority for the purpose by ESIC and fulfill the eligibilty criteria as per MCC.
