it is not compulsory to attempt both the jee mains paper 1 and paper 2

it depends on the candidates interest those who want to go in the stream of engineering those candidates can apply for the jee mains paper 1 and those  candidates who are interested in the stream of architecture those candidates can apply for the jee mains paper 2 and who are interested in both attempting of exams can apply for both jee mains paper 1 and as well as paper 2
