Is it compulsory to have gate score for filling application form for Karnatak pgcet 2019?
Hello Arfa Khan, let me tell you all the eligibility criteria for Karnataka pgcet2019.
General Eligibilities (applicable to all disciplines):-
- There is no requirement of the candidate should be a resident of Karnataka, any non-resident can apply.
- The reservation criteria are applicable only for Karnataka residents only.
- The residents should have domicile of Karnataka.
Qualification Criteria:-
1) MBA:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have Bachelor's degree of minimum of 3-year duration or equivalent exam.
- Minimum Marks: Must complete the degree with a minimum of 50% marks, In case of sc, st & Category - I of Karnataka candidates it is 45%.
2) MCA:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must pass UG or equivalent with BCA, B.Sc(IT/Computer Science) from a recognized University.

Subjects: Candidate must have Mathematics, Computer science, Computer Application, Computer Programming, Business Mathematics or Business Statistics in their qualifying exam.
- Minimum Marks: Must complete the degree with a minimum of 50% marks, In case of sc, st & obc of Karnataka candidates it is 45%.
3) MCA (Lateral Entry):
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must pass UG with BCA, B.Sc(IT/Computer Science) from a recognized University.
- Subjects: Mathematics and Business Statistics are one of the optional subjects.
- Minimum Marks: Must complete the degree with a minimum of 50% marks, In case of sc, st & obc of Karnataka candidates it is 45%.
4)
M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch:
- Qualifying Exam: Candidate must pass an equivalent exam in any discipline from a recognized University.
- GATE Score: A Candidate Must have the valid Gate score.
- Minimum Marks: Must complete the degree with a minimum of 50% marks, In case of sc, st & obc of Karnataka candidates it is 45%.

Hey hi arfa,For Full-Time M.E./ M. Tech / M. Arch candidate the eligibility is as follows-
A candidate with valid GATE score. They are given first preference for admissions to the course.
A candidate who has passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority.
Also, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years/semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to the program.
For SC/ ST and Category-I candidates, the aggregate of 45% is required
