Is it compulsory to have the mathematics subject in 10+2 level for opting B.A economics hons.
BA Economics(Hons) is an undergraduate course of three years consisting of two semesters in each year. All over you will be having six semesters. As per your question you don't require maths at the 10+2 level for BA Economics(Hons).The eligibility criteria is passing 10+2 level or any equivalent examination from a recognized board in any stream.Students with economics at their 10+2 level are are given more preference.The course include subjects like microeconomics,macroeconomics,econometrics,monetory systems and financial systems,etc.

So , maths is important subject while doing the course B.A economics hons! It is required to have maths ! Having maths subjec then only you can appear for the examination ie: CET otherwise you cant appear for the exam!

IPU BA Economics Hons is done on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the University. Only candidates who have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with Mathematics as a compulsory subject are eligible for this entrance examination and hence eligible for admission.
