is it compulsory to learn maths to take BA economics in AMU and does BA economics come under AMUEEE or CUET?
Hello,
Mathematics is not compulsory for admission into AMU's BA Economics program , and the course does not fall under the AMUEEE.

- Mathematics Requirement: While Mathematics is not mandatory, having studied it in higher secondary education is advantageous due to the course's analytical nature.
- Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Admission Test: Admission is based on the AMU Entrance Exam, not the AMUEEE, which is specific to engineering courses.

Hi Saniya,

Typically, AMU expects students to have a background in Mathematics or an equivalent subject , especially for courses like Economics.
However, it’s best to confirm with the latest official prospectus of the university or the admissions office to get up-to-date information on this requirement.
Regarding the entrance exam, BA Economics at AMU does not come under AMUEEE (Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination). Instead, it is usually part of the AMU's own entrance test for undergraduate courses, often referred to as the AMU Entrance Exam.
The CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is applicable for admissions to various undergraduate programs in participating universities, but AMU typically conducts its own entrance exams for admission to BA programs like Economics.
