Is it compulsory to take maths in bfs if i want to choose ba polsc. hons in du and can i calclate bfs in the form of 2 lang.+subj1+subj2
Hello Sanjana,
If you are applying for BA (Hons.) Political Science, in Delhi University, you do not have to include you subject Maths as your best four subjects. However if you are not from Humanities background, you might have to experience a deduction of 2.5% in your overall Best Four. However if you have Maths as a sucject from Humanities background, you will not face any deduction. In both cases, it is not necessary to include Maths in your Best Four Subjects.
If you had Physical Education in Class XII, you might again get a deduction of 2.5% on your overall percentage in your Best Four Subjects.
It is possible to calculate Best Four Subjects in form of 2 language, and 2 subjects as long as these subjects are included in Category A , meaning they are assesed on the basis of at least 70% for theory and 30% for practical, subjects not falling in these category would lead to deduction of 2.5% from the overall percentage from Best Four.
How To Calculate Best Four Subjects:
1. One language that is a core (English)
2. One relevant subject
3. Subjects from list A to aviod deduction
Here is the list of subjects in Category A:
Arabic
French
LegalStudies
Punjabi
Bengali
Geography
Mathematics
Sanskrit
Botany
Geology
Music
Sociology

German
