Hello student,

Hope you are in best of your health. So the answer to your question is :-

In general, black pens are favoured in application forms since they are more exact than any other colour pens when scanning your application form using a scanner, which is why we are requested to sign with a black pen. It is not required, however it would be preferable if we used a black pen.

Hope this helps

Generally black pens are preferred in applications forms because when you use a black pen while scanning your application form through a scanner it would be very precise compared to any other colour pens that's why we are asked to sign with black pen.

It's not a must but would be better if we use a black pen.
