Its all depends on how much knowledge and Interest for Mathematics you have. If syllabus is concern then the first semester is easier, with topics including - Algebra (Matrices and Determinants) and Calculus (Multi-Variable Differential and Integral) - with major focus on concepts. In the second semester, things are harder involving more technical prowess and learning - Differential Equations and Probability (which is more conceptual). Even for students who have studied mathematics in high school, math here is effortful and rigorous.
But dont worry the faculties are very good they go through the basic concept of Mathematics so it will be easier for you to understand if you have interest for Mathematics.
