Remote Sensing and GIS is booming technology in Indian market. It has great scope in both government and private sector. The technology is being used in the field of disaster management, agriculture, finance, telecommunications, urban applications, forestry, environmental applications etc. In Government sector the project like smart cities, property mapping will provide a big window for GIS person While private sector has started using location based analysis like Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket etc.
