You can give your opinion what you feel and observe about it.
Some people like something some people do not like that.
Its their choice.
What I want to say that just try to find out your interest and see that do you like or interested in engineering or not.
Because some students take engineering in craze or due to family pressure or due to friends and they regret when time has gone.
So just think about it that what is your interest what you can do with passion and without frustrating.
As engineering is all about science and technology.
And you have to choose specific branch in engineering for graduation ( like computer science ; information technology; electrical; electronics and communication; aeronautical ; mechanical; civil; chemical ; mettelargicul; etc.)
In computer science you will learn coding and softwares development etc.
In information technology you will learn about hardware and other equipment and coding.
In electrical you learn about circuit and current etc
In mechanical you will learn about machines and their working and strength.
In electronics and communication you will learn electronics gadgets and signals.
Civil : learn about construction and building and the material used.
Mettelargicul : metals and ores and their production and reactivity.
Etc.
So figure out the things you can do and you feel comfortable to do.
And about what you can do if you choose engineering:
There are a number in which you can go and engineering will help you somewhere in that field also.
Some of these are:
Jobs ( technical ; management)
UPSC
IAS officer
IPS officer etc.
IES
CDS
Banking
Crime and investigation department
Railway recruitments
Navy
Army
Air force
Higher studies ( Mtech ; MBA)
Research jobs
NASA
ISRO
PSU
Startup and job seeker
But it is not that you can go in these fields only through engineering.
Engineering provide you a better platform in some of these fields which will be beneficial to you in future.
And I would suggest to do engineering from a good college which give a name and tag of the college like : IIT s NIT a IIIT s or some private colleges ( BITS Pilani ; VITEEE; etc).
And in these college ( IIT NIT and IIIT ) you can get admission through JEE advanced ( IIT ) and JEE mains ( NIts IIITs).
Exam : JEE mains
Exam date : January and April ( out of these two highest of two marks will consider for ranking)
Exam registration date : august- September for January exam and February- March for April
Exam:
JEE advanced: held in may
Registration date : after JEE mains results ( eligible only if you qualify JEE mains)
JEE mains and advanced have separate ranking .
And counseling ( under josaa) will be from 15-20 june
And eligibility criteria to get admission through josaa counseling :
Minimum 75%marks in 12 th boards ( general and obc)
65. %( ST/SC)
Or in top 20 percentile.
And year of passing 12 th is same ; previous or previous from previous one ; ( for jee mains) in which year you are giving exam JEE
And same or previous ( for advanced).
So through this you can get admitted in top colleges of India.
BITSAT : it has its own entrance exam .
So I hope it will help you
Any other information you need you can ask.
