HEY Manoj,
Yes, you can do the M.Sc in food science and technology after completing btech with biotechnology. its indeed a Good choice.
After completing your pg you can apply in top food processing companies like: Perfetti India ltd.
Hi,
An MSc in food technology is a lot more preferred as compared to an MSc in Biotechnology in India.
After you complete your MSc in Food technology, the opportunities for you are more in number as there are too many food industries in India. The type of work in these food industries could range from:
As you go up the ladder in your career, you could get into food managerial roles which have a good career profile.
In case of MSc Biotechnology, after the completion of your course, the chances of getting into a core Biotech company would be difficult.
In R&D departments in Biotech companies, they would prefer someone with either an M.Tech or a PhD degree. Even if you do join, the career growth would not be much unless you opt to do a PhD.
Also in terms of pay, it would be a lot more higher in food companies as compared to biotech companies - atleast for freshers
Hope this helps
