Hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that yes, it would be good to do MSC Physics from any open University or from Distance learning but you should need to do lots of research works and practicals that is very essential for your portfolio. So, that it would be much easier for you to do PHD later. So, I would only suggest you to do Msc and focus on research fields more and do more projects on MSC fields as this will ony help you to perform well in you PHD degree.
Further, To Apply for MSc Physics in distance mode, one should have a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field (Physics preferred) . The minimum duration of MSc Physics course is 2 years.
Further, below are the lists of some of the top global universities for doing Msc Physics in India :
- Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
- Indian Institute of Technology - Madras.
- Panjab University.
- Indian Institute of Science - Bangalore.
- International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, Bengaluru.
- Indian Institute of Technology - Bombay.

Hello.
In order to pursue a PhD in physics then all you need is a master's degree in the said subject. You also need to qualify the eligibility criteria such as scoring 55% in your undergraduate degree. There are also some other exams such as the UGC NET exam tht you need to qualify to apply for PhD. But the college where you pursue your MSc does not matter as the certificate shall hold the same value. For more information visit the link given below
