It all depends on your preparation level and your confidence level. You can drop it for competitive exams but at the same time you need to join some coaching institution or so which keeps you guiding and motivating towards your goal. At same time it is necessary to not get bored and practice and study vigorously. Dropping a year would mean losing a year , so you should be wise while taking this decision and must decide your goal. If you are sure you'll get through and performe better than you should surely go for this otherwise if you think you would get bored and won't be able to cope then you must consider your decision again. You can also take advice from some of your mentors and teachers who you knows your subject weakness band strength and can predict whether you would be able to manage or not.

Best wishes : )

Hey Abishek!

It is not necessary for you to be committing the same mistakes that your seniors do or to trail the same path as they go upon. I won't say that repeating class 12 is a good thing but that doesn't mean it is the end of life. If due to any circumstances you have had to repeat class 12 then don't worry about others and concentrate on your studies and if you are yet to appear in boards then don't think about repeating. Class 12 boards aren't as tough as one thinks they are, you just have to stay true to yourself and work hard on NCERT textbooks. If you face any problem then ask it from us as we are here to help you.
