Dear Aspirant,

Below are the differences between CS and IT.

1. CS deals with designing and building softwares, websites, programs whereas IT deals with troubleshooting, understanding the functioning and ensuring the smoothe functioning of the same.

2. You'll require basic knowledge of the computer programming for both but the jobs that you aim at doing are slightly different.

3. The pay scale for both jobs are almost the same.

4. IT is slightly easier as it involves thorough understanding and application unlike CS where you'll have to build new programs based on your previous knowledge.

5. The basics required for both jobs are same.

6. In colleges students prefer CS over IT as you can get into IT if you have a Btech in Computer Science.

Hope this helps.
