Is it mandatory for the Indian Students to study in the USA to become a Doctor in the USA?

There are 2 ways to it, Rajaram. To become a Doctor in the USA, you can either study in the US from the beginning or complete MBBS in India and appear for USMLE for Residency programmes. For the second method, you have to appear in NEET, qualify and get a MBBS seat and study in India and complete its mandatory internship. Then you have to appeat for USMLE step wise exams and apply for Residential programmes and then you have to be an observer first before you start working as a Residential Doctor. In the first way, if you want to study in the US, even then you have to appear and qualify in NEET and secure an admission there.

Thank you Mam, but after completing MD in India can we directly write USMLE step wise exams and qualify for Residential Programmes without studying in the USA.
