is it mandatory to clear both tancet and gate for M.E in anna university. or only tancet is enough

No,it is not mandatory to clear both.Candidates with a valid GATE score with qualifying marks in relevant discipline in Engineering/Technology,need not appear for TANCET.However candidates who have a valid GATE score with qualifying marks in Engineering Science(XE) and Life Science (XL) will definitely have to appear for TANCET 2019.
