As per the JEE Mains rules for improvement 2019, we have discussed the points of concern below:
If a candidate passes Class 12 but writes one or a few subjects for improvement or any other reason, then top 20 percentile cut-off will be considered.
However, if a candidate writes all the subjects then the best of the two performances will be considered.
So if you appear for improvement exam in all subjects the you get an extra benefit of getting selected from either top 20 percentile or 75%+ percentage.

Hello aspirant. It is not at all necessary for you to give all subjects. You need to have 75% in your boards. You can give subjects according to your choice. It is up to you. From JEE's point of view you need to have 75 percent that's it.
