is it necessary that we can only get admission through nmat into those colleges which we have chosen as a school preference in our nmat form? can we edit it now(the preference)?

Just go to the login details on the NMAT website and see if there is a place of 'edit form' option in the settings. If that not works, then you have to apply for the colleges you have choosen, otherwise you have to contact the specific college personally, which you have not mentioned in the form.
