Dear aspirant,
No, It is not necessary to attempt all four sessions of JEE MAIN. Either you can attempt only once, twice, thrice or all four. It totally depends on your satisfaction and wish.
The purpose of introduction of four sessions is that this will give multiple opportunities to the candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they fail to give their best in one attempt. Also, If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control (such as Board examination), then he/she will not have to wait for one full year.
Students have the option to apply for one Session or for more than one Session (February/March /April /May) together and pay exam fee accordingly, but once you fill the form in any of the session, you do not need to fil it in the next sessions if you wish to appear, they will take data from that old application form.
