Hi there hope you are doing really well. Thermodynamics is very important chapter both for JEE mains and JEE advanced but not compulsory for JEE mains as it will only give you two questions at Max and it is a very big chapter. So investing so much of time for a tough chapter is your choice so if you can do it then you must do if you are not prepared in now so don't even try to touch it. Hope this will help you thank you.
