See for taking sanskrit in your graduation that is doing bachelor of arts in sanskrit the minimum eligibility is to pass out class 12 from a recognised institution with having marks 45% to 50% as it varies too from University to university. So even if you don't have sanskrit in your +2 you're eligible for doing bachelor of arts in sanskrit.

Yes!!The basic eligibility for Pursuing BA in Sanskrit is to pass in higher secondary or 10+2 or equivalent with Sanskrit as being one of the subjects.So yes it is mandatory to have sanskit as one of the subjects.The minimum eligibility percentge for most of the colleges is 45-50% marks in 10+2.The duration of the course is of 3 years.

The minimum eligibility percentage for most of the colleges is 45-50% marks in 10+2. The duration of BA Sanskrit course is about 3 years. So it is not necessary to have Sanskrit in school but you need to have Sanskrit and one of the subject in you 10+2 level to be eligible for B.A in Sanskrit.
