Dear Aditya, CAT is an entrance examination for admission to Management courses. So it is important and necessary to have a Bachelor's degree for appearing for CAT. It is just not necessary but it is mandatory to have a minimum aggregate of 50% in your Bachelor's degree. It is 50% for General Caategory and 45% for Reserved Categories. Now having said that, final year students also can appear for CAT and such candidates' admission is provisional pending their final year results.
