is it necessary to live in hostel, even after having a compulsive reason?

hi Shivani,

In almost all of the engineering colleges of India, its completely fine to be a day scholar(who does not live in hostel) and not live in a hostel. It completely depends on your choice whether you want to live in the hostel of the college or not. Also you have compulsive reason, so be a day scholar.

Hello,

Living in Hostel or not is all upon your choice and comfort. No College or Institution forces student to live in hostel. You can opt for PG, Other Hostels, Rooms or your home if you live near your college.

However, it is advisable to live in hostel if you are not a local during first year of college so as to get familiar with the environment. You can also take part in many activities if you live in your college hostel.
