Yes. You will have to give answers to the college for your absence from academic year. College authorities will ask you the reason for you not continuing the academic year. In your case, that reason is gap. You will have to provide gap certificate before admission in next years if you are in the middle of a course. You will have to justify your gap year. It helps if you have a gap certificate.
