Hello Prakhar,

BAMS is a course which can be pursued after completing 10+2 with Science Subject. BAMS is 5 and a Half year duration course. It is based on the traditional way of healing the human body with the enhanced therapy of Ayurveda.

Eligibility :-

  • Candidate must have qualified the 10+2 examination/equivalent with Science Subject with 50 % of marks in board examination.
  • Candidate must have completed 1 year at the time of admission.
  • Candidates must have qualified NEET for BAMS course admission.

Yes, it is compulsory to qualify the NEET exam for getting admission in BAMS College.

Hello student,

Yes, it is necessary to qualify NEET to get admission BAMS college. Not only BAMS, but also BHMS, BUMS, BSMS and BNYS admissions will be done only through NEET. According to the new rules, admissions to all AYUSH courses, which includes BAMS, are through the merit list of NEET examination only. If the candidate has not appeared for NEET or has not qualified in it will not be eligible for admission to the BAMS course.

Dear Prakhar

As per the notification, candidates applying for undergraduate (UG) courses in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) will be required to appear for NEET 2019

So, yes it's necessary in order to get admission in Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course.

Hello Prakhar,

All the BAMS, BHMS etc colleges in India  are still not included to give admission through NEET examination.

Although all Government colleges do give admission through NEET examination only, many private colleges still give admission without asking for the NEET score.
