Dear candidate,
Allotment to Medical courses will be conducted
based on the NEET (UG) Rank. Those candidates who wish to be considered for the allotment in Medical Courses in Kerala State should be qualified in NEET. Likewise, if candidate wants to be considered for allotment in Architecture course the qualification in NATA (National Aptitude Test) is required. Remember, all candidates who desire Engineering, Pharmacy, Medical and Architecture admission should apply KEAM.
The following are some of the guidelines/eligibility criteria to be met for KEAM--
Candidates have to pass higher secondary examination of “Board of Higher secondary education, Kerala” with 50% marks in Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry put together.
Candidates need to secure 50% marks in Biology separately.
In the absence of Biology, Biotechnology will be considered as a subject
Only NEET qualifiers for the same academic sessions are eligible to apply for the exam
To take admission into any medical course in India you need to appear for NEET exam. For admission into medical in Kerala, you need to appear for NEET. KEAM Medical was discontinued due to the introduction of NEET.
KEAM is conducted only for admission into engineering, architecture and Pharmacy courses in Kerala. There are two papers in KEAM, conducted over two days, one paper is for Physics and Chemistry and paper 2 is for maths.
