Is it okay to take M.A integrated political science insted of B.A(Hons.) political science for upsc cse preparation or taking M.A integrated political science is time wasting for upsc cse preparation ?
Hello,
The basic criteria to appear in UPSC exam is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, if you're going to pursue Political Science(Hons) then it's a pretty good choice as there is overlapping of GS syllabus and you can have it as optional as well which has syllabus equivalent to graduation level study itself, hence it's a great choice, to pursue integrated course or not is dependent on what are your career plans, as in if you're looking to have a career in academics or research other than UPSC then you can explore this option, otherwise as I said to appear in UPSC only a graduate degree is needed from a recognized university, pursuing master degree is your choice, it's not a compulsory criteria.
I heart fully tanking you for your valuable answer. sir i want to study in university of Hyderabad where I am a integrated political science is only offered.sir should I take for BA Honours in political science in any other university and self study after the completion of undergraduation for UPSC or should I take for MA integrated political science in university of Hyderabad and start preparing after the three years in this course for UPSC simultaneously while pursuing this course, which will be the better decision to study in the university for five years or studying in home after completing under graduation for UPSC?
