Dear Kriti, there are 20 IIMs and each year an IIM takes turn to conduct CAT. This year it is IIM Kozikhode. When the IIMs themselves conduct an entrance examination, it is unlikely that the same IIMs will allow admissions without CAT as an entrance examination. There cannot be conflict of interest. Sorry to disappoint you but there is no way out apart from CAT if you want to get admission in IIM.
Hi Student
I would like to give some important information about llMs admission and their eligibility criteria, actually IIMS are dream business schools amongst all graduate youngesters.
many people do their graduation with engineering, law, commerce, art, science , agriculture and many other courses and then they appear for CAT exam,so you can say this is one of the most competitive exam of India.
IIM stands for Indian Institute of Management. It is the top MBA institute that we have in India.
It is a dream of every Indian who is a graduate to get admission in one of the Indian Institute of Management. IIM's are famous for their well structured education, world class study environment, World Renowned Faculty and above all the best placement which it offers.
For admission in these kinda reputed institute you must follow certain admission rule and eligibility criteria must also be fulfilled by you.
If you are thinking that you are going to get admission in any of the IIM without going for the entrance exam then I must say that you are totally mistaken dear because there is no such rule by which you can admission directly into an IIM.
The Best and only way to get into an IIM is to go by clearing the exam of CAT like the rest of the students are doing in their career.
Eligibility criteria for CAT is as follows :-
1. Graduation from a recognized university
2. Percentage :- 50% or more
3. No Subject Bar
4. No Age Bar
5. Final year student can also apply
So dear stop thinking too much about it and prepare for the exam because success only salutes the one who do not the one who sit idle and wait for the excuses.
If you have any other query then you can ask it too in the form.
If you are feared of getting failed in CAT then there are many other examination which can help you and I advice you to go for every entrance exam so that at least one you can clear with good marks and ended up in a good college.
After if you don't want to go any college then you can go for llMs through GMAT in executive MBA.
this is also very popular course but you should have min 5 years of work experience and you should belonging from NRI family then only you can apply for this course.
You can comment your further queries in the comment section below.
Best Wishes
