Is it possible to become an IAS while studying BA (I'm in first year) ?
Hello aspirant!
If you are saying to become the IAS officer while studying BA then that's impossible. And if you are asking that can I prepare for it while studying BA then yeah it's absolutely 100% possible with great dedication and positive mind.
See to become and IAS officer you must have to clear upsc cse exam that you can give only if you have a graduation degree from any certified university.
So firstly complete your graduation and as I said you can prepare for upsc cse along with your studies as you are doing BA then most of the upsc cse syllabus will be coinciding with your academic syllabus and you can prepare for it easily.
So best of luck!
Thank you!
A candidate must have completed his/her graduation if he/she wish to appear for UPSC Civil Services exam. As you are still persuing your bachelors, you must wait till your degree is completed and then you can apply for UPSC Civil Services exam.
Hi,
It is not possible to become an IAS while studying BA, because a bachelor's degree is a must to be able to sit for the Civil Services Examination. However, you can start preparing for UPSC CSE, as you are in your first year of college and then sit for the IAS exam two years later.
Remember, the minimum age to appear for IAS Exam is 21 years. Also, you can appear for this exam, while you are in the final year of your college, provided you fulfill the other eligibility criteria.
Hello,
Union Public Service Commision (UPSC) requires candidates to have completed graduation in order to apply for UPSC Civil Services exam. Since you are in the first year of BA programme, you should complete your graduation after which you will be able to successfully apply for UPSC IAS exam.
Yes it is possible to become IAS while studying BA. Let b tell you one thing my friend, in civil services mains examination it's not mandatory to choose subjects from humanities a one can choose any subject of his interest stated in upsc cs syllabus. Yes I do agree to some extent the study of BA helps in preparations as it covers most of the topics of general studies. To become IAS one needs to score good rank for instance a aspirant from general category needs to get rank under 200 to become IAS officer and so forth.
