is it possible to do engineering physicst after bsc?
Obviously you can. After BSc Physics , you have a large number of options left to you. You can sit for lateral entry exams which will enable you to study B.Tech after your BSc.
The next option is to opt for MSc. Now for MSc you have a number of exams like IIT JAM , BHU , Central University exams etc with which you can get admission to premiere institutes in India. In JAM all the topics are not from class 11/12 , there are advanced topics like Quantum Mechanics , Solid State physics , Relativity , Electronics etc which you will get a detailed knowledge in your BSc Physics course.
After MSc in Physics you can go for MTech courses like MTech in Optoelectronics , Nano-Materials etc which can fetch you a job at government organization like ISRO , BARC etc.
You also have chances to do Integrated MSc-phD in institutions like TIFR , IUCAA etc.
Also you have courses offered by GATE Physics which will enable you to study in IIT's, NIT's and other institutes as well.
You have a lot of things you can do with it. Today you think of Engineering Physics as you get into the journey of BSc Physics you will get interested in other subjects. So study well and you can be a Engineering Physicist as well as many other kinds of courses.
I hope my answer helps you. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Yes, it is possible.
However, instead of getting two bachelor degrees, I would recommend you to write the jam entrance exam for admission into MSc programme in the IITs. If you go through the syllabus of jam, you will find that most of the topics are those you studied in 12th.
So, instead of wasting three more years, you could brush up your 12 the knowledge on your own or with the help of a coaching and then go for MSc, because first of all, things taught in bsc are pretty basic and you might get frustrated in the first two years as to you aren't learning anything productive and that 12th class is getting repeated in a wider sense.
Moreover, important topics like quantum mechanics and relativity etc will be taught in MSc too, so you won't miss out on them.
Also, you are eligible to write the GATE exam for physics.
So, its better you think colly before making any decision.
Hope this information helps you ,
Thank you .
