Hi,

To pursue MD in any field, you need to have a MBBS degree from a recognized institute. Same applies here too. You cannot pursue MD in Pharmacology by doing a Doctor's in Pharmacy. You need to have a MBBS degree along with which a valid score in NEET PG entrance examination.

Hello,

The basic eligibility criteria for MD (Pharmacology)/ MD (Microbiology) or MD (Community Medicine) is MBBS!

These are speciality MD courses in medicine. So, no one else except, MBBS, can qualify to apply for above degree courses.

You may consider enrolling for PhD in above mentioned subjects post your PharmD.

One can pursue M.D. degree only after completion of bachelors degree in medicine (e.g. BAMS, MBBS etc.)
Pharm.D course got introduced just to match foreign course of pharmacy, it is just equivalent to M.Pharm and individual has to pursue Ph.D. for doctorate.

Hope i have cleared your doubt.
