Is it possible to get a good percentile in CAT and suggest some self study material which would enough to get a good percentile ??
you can try out RS Agarwal book for the basic conceptual study for Quantitative Aptitude.
For the Advanced version you can refer to Quantitative Ability by Arun Sharma.
Moreover there are many online material in some of the premier websites like CL, TIME, IMS etc. Which can be obtained by payment.
You can try out Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation by Arun Sharma for LRDI section.
For English Vocabulary, you can refer to Word power made easy by Wren and Martin.
It is not only about referring to books and materials and preparing. The main factor is how you implement the study into taking Mock exams and performing well. Each Mock exams should be taken with lots of serious attitude and after each exam, the analysis and review of performance needs to be done. A good amount of 30-40 mocks can literally take you to good percentiles provided good efforts and reviews and analysis are done timely.
YES, 100% Possible.
A study reveals that 70% of CAT qualifiers believe that self study was the key due to which they scored good in exam.
Follow below mentioned points on a regular basis:
• Read a English newspaper daily ( preferably, Hindu or Firstpost ).
• Do take a mock test after completing any module or part of syllabus to analyze yourself.
For self preparation, I would highly recommend BYJU'S app. It will act as your personal CAT trainer as the training over there is provided by- Byju Raveendram (CAT Topper). This app has online lectures by experts and that's too, free of cost.
If you wish to go for offline preparation, then I would suggest you to prepare from book by Arun Sharma for Quants section & Logical section and by book of Meenakshi Upadhaya for Verbal Ability Section.
