Hi,

Grace marks are the extra marks that are given on questions to a person who is failing but for grace marks you have to attempt the maximum in paper so that there are question with the examiner on which he can give grace marks

But as per your question you are saying that you have only attempted 17 marks paper then where will the examiner give you grace marks but if you have done the paper something approx. for 40–50 marks then you can pass with grace marks

sometimes the mood of examiner and sympathy toward the failure and his future compels the examiner to give marks so if the mood of examiner is good then you can pass but chances are less

All The Best.
