Aiims exam is conducted by aiims institute only and from that you can get admission only in the available aiims across the country .
For all other medical colleges neet marks and ranks are considered except jipmer which also conduct their own exam.

AIIMS exam is conducted by AIIMS new delhi for offering admission in all the AIIMS across India. The AIIMS Exam score and rank can not be used for any other college except for the AIIMS institutes itself.
If you are interested in pursuing medical courses, you will have to appear for NEET exam. This is the only national level exam conducted for admission to medical courses across india except for AIIMS and JIPMER.
Also for JIPMER you will have to appear in JIPMER UG exam.

AIIMS merit cut off is generally very high.
Speaking of last year
For General Category it was 98.83 Peecentile.
For OBC it was 97.011 Percentile.For SC/ST it was 93.65 Percentile.
